Windows and Doors

A big milestone as the windows and doors were installed on Thursday Oct 25. They look great - thanks to local manufacturer Scheel Windows and Doors of Arnprior.

The pair of south-east facing triple sliding doors give great views of the lake and will let in lots of light.

The entry door is there but protected for now - presumably until the metal roof is on.

At left, the windows in 2 bedrooms provide great views of the lake. In the foreground, two high windows will flank the fireplace.

In case you're curious about the exterior insulation that I showed in the last post, here's its packaging. 

Surprisingly this is a one person job. Here's Mitch getting close to the end. He reports that it's very nice to work with - no issues like the old pink stuff.

This is not all fun and games.  Hugh is garbage removal guy and here we are at the dump earlier in the week. Check out all of the gulls! No way I was getting out of the truck to get a better pic!
